All Crescent precision fasteners and component parts are compliant in the following areas except for specific products requiring cadium plate.
DFARS Compliance - The Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and the Berry Amendment as the "Preference for domestic specialty metals" requires that materials used in the manufacturing of fasteners in the U.S. be melted in the U.S. or a qualified country. ELV Compliance - End of Live Vehicles Directive 2000/53/EC requires that automotive products are free of mercury, cadmium and lead. All fasteners at Crescent Manufacturing are ELV.

Crescent Manufacturing is registered with the U.S. Department of State.
NADCAP certified nickel, zinc and cadmium plate. NADCAP was formally National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accrediation Program. This is a U.S. government requirement, for NADCAP supporting documentation please submit a request.
Passivation -
At the end of August 2008, Crescent made the decision based on environmental issues, to no longer keep the chemicals in house that allowed us to maintain compliance with the
QQ-P-35 or the
ASTM A380 passivation specifications. Crescent has partnered with a local finishing company that can provide us overnight service on these requirements. Any passivation to
ASTM A967 will continue to be done in house.
REACH
Compliance - Registration, Evaluation, and Authorization of CHemicals (R.E.A.C.H.)-
Crescent’s product would only fall under the “articles” category. We do not presently use any of the substances on the
Potential Substances of Very High Concern list and do not anticipate that any substances likely to be included will pertain to Crescent either.
RoHS Compliance - Crescent Manufacturing is compliant with the ROHS Directive, i.e. the Restriction of Certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipmnet. All fasteners manufactured contain no more than the agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants. * Please request a RoHS compliance statement on your PO.
WEEE Compliance - The European Waste Electrical and Electronic Directive (WEEE). All fasteners at Crescent Manufacturing are WEEE compliant.
