Expansion News at Crescent Manufacturing
March 2008 - Crescent Manufacturing takes on the World Market
This
past fall Crescent participated in the Fastener Fair trade Show in
Stuttgart, Germany. This was the first time in several years since we
had pursued the European market.
With
the Dollar favorable for trade there was much interest in our product
line and many new distributor contacts were begun. Crescent is
presently represented in
England, France, Spain, Italy, and Germany. We know we have had contacts through our US distributors branches in Europe and hope we can continue to expand our presence.
Neil Morrison,
aircraft Components & Equipment Supplies Ltd, in England has been
repping Crescent for almost a year now in Europe. Neil was a great help
at the Fastener Fair as well as continuing to keeping Crescent’s name

Crescent will again be present at this year’s
Fastener Fair
being held in Coventry, England in June. Ginger Doherty, International

This
website has also enabled Crescent to expand our presence in other
countries outside the European Market. We now have distribution
business either current or developing in
South America, India, Australia, and the Middle East.

January 2008 - Product Line Expansion News
Crescent
Manufacturing has recently purchased two Waterbury 3/8 Headers in an
effort to expand our product offering to our customers. This
acquisition will allow us to increase our length and shoulder
capabilities. We will remain at our present 5/16 maximum diameter size
range.
Crescent
Manufacturing is now able to manufacture #6 thru 5/16 diameter parts in
lengths up to 3 inches under head for any threaded items, or 4 inches
under head for any solid rivets or another unthreaded parts. As always,
there is only a 1000 piece minimum requirement per item. Deliveries are
presently running about 8 weeks.
The
shoulder, or grip parts, are under development as we work to determine
the maximum lengths and diameters for the #6 thru 5/16 sizes. This will
enable us to offer a more extensive line on such military parts as the
MS27039, MS24694 and the NA525 that we are presently very limited on.
This increase in capability will also extend to our full offerings of
commercial parts and specials. We will be able to begin quoting these
items within the next month.
Spring 2007 - STAR DRIVES
As we have expanded our line over the past several years with the addition of "STAR DRIVES" or "
SIX-LOBES",
we have also added a new head style that is quite common for this
drive. Crescent now includes "BUTTON" heads as part of our offerings.

have tried to fill those niches for you.

Winter 2007 - Headers & Thread Rollers
In an effort to improve our delivery times, Crescent has recently purchased
three Waterbury Farrel Hi-Pro Headers, and a
Hartford 500 Thread Roller. We have also added another Threader Operator to our team.
All these additions demonstrate our continuing effort to increase
output and lower our lead times. Something we know will make everyone
happy.
We have also acquired a
Mittutoyo Digital Optical Comparator which will allow us a more thorough examination of your parts and assure the best quality part we can offer. |
